The bridge in this photograph is at Corra Lynn near Launceston, Tasmania. The image was taken closer to the bridge and from a lower viewpoint compared to the one in a different archive from approximately the same period. The mountain river on the photograph taken upstream and another downstream could be the North Esk River.
The people on this image are busy harvesting hops, which have been cultivated in Tasmania for over 150 years. It is not clear what is happening on another photograph featuring a piece of agricultural machinery and bales of harvest in the foreground.
The views of the street and the post office are taken in the same place a few hundred meters apart. The location of these shots remains unknown.
